If you would like, feel free to bring: a comfortable cushion (there are some bolsters available), a sacred object to contribute to our evening altar (you will take them home at the end of the night), a thought/short story/prayer/song etc. to share, that is important to your path during this moon cycle.

The Class:
I LOVE to create personally meaningful art for my altar space…or for a craft night with friends…or just because making is medicine:) That medicine is magnified when combined with intention and reverence. We will explore the meaning of the North, South, East and West directions through guided meditations and breath work and use that as inspiration as we move into creating our Mandalas. Mixed media, including collage materials will be available to use as tools for your piece.

***This class is meant to be an accumulation of what we’ve done in the previous two classes in this series but can also be taken on its own. There will be limited instruction in regard to techniques for materials however, this is not an advanced class. The focus will mostly be on understanding/connecting to the four directions and on the construction of a mandala. If you have questions please contact me through my website or on Instagram.

The Class:
Collage is one of my favorite ways to satisfy my art-making bug without worrying about skill or technique. There are many ways to use collage, it is a tool like any other medium. In this class we will be using collage as a vehicle for meditation and guidance. Rather than looking for images, we will let the images find us. Our creative project will be structured by breath work, guided meditation and some mild movement and you will leave with a 11x14” Intuitive Collage. This process always has interesting and surprising results. I challenge you to leave your expectations at home and connect with the mystery of your subconscious.

One of my favorite things about mixing materials is seeing how they play with each other on the paper. It was curiosity for watercolor, pens and chalks that helped to define the style of my work early on. In this class we will spend time in guided materials play and technical practice before beginning a small art piece to take home. We will begin the class with a short guided meditation and breath work.

Join us for an intimate women’s gathering to honor ourselves and our connection to the moon. The full moon is a perfect time to gather, connect, clear and focus for the cycles we are moving into. We will re-member our sacred Magick through ritual, move our bodies, combining our voices and more.

February’s full moon is most commonly known as the Full Snow Moon because this is the time of the year when there is usually the heaviest snow fall. Some Native American groups also referred to it as the Hunger Moon among other titles, which will be our inspiration for the evening.
+When in our lives have we been the most hungry?
+In what ways do we keep ourselves from from fullness, from pleasure?
+What do we crave, yearn to satiate us as women, as a community of women?

Let us praise the divine, the sensual in ourselves. Let us come into ourSelves as whole through the integration of our pleasure.
